IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING IAAP COMMUNICATION, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

There are still members who are indicating that they did not receive the communication regarding the changes in the IAAP structure. It would be most helpful if members can change their preferred email address to a personal one, and if they want the daily digest at their work email they could forward it.

Some members have expressed issues recently related to receipt of their Web Community Daily Digests as well as eblasts and newsletters coming from IAAP.  Below is the process to change your Web Community digest subscriptions.

For Web Community digests:
If you used to receive certain digests but aren't any longer, please do the following:

1) Check your subscription settings to ensure they are set how you'd like them.
2) Check to ensure emails from community.iaap-hq.org aren't being directed to a junk folder.
3) Check your routing rules to ensure your digests aren't directing the mail to another folder.
4) The mail server has a spam blocker in place that is intercepting our emails before they reach the recipient's inbox. In this case, the member would need to reach out to their IT department to resolve.
5) Ask your IT department to white list IAAP and Higher Logic emails.

For IAAP eblasts/newsletters:
1) Review your member profile to ensure the email address we have on file for you is active and accurate; Also check to ensure you're opted-in to the communications you'd like to receive.
2) Check to ensure emails from app.production.membersuite.com@membersuite.com aren't being directed to a junk folder.
3) Check your routing rules to ensure your digests aren't directing the mail to another folder.
4) The mail server has a spam blocker in place that is intercepting our emails before they reach the recipient's inbox. In this case, the member would need to reach out to their IT department to resolve.
5) Ask your IT department to white list
app.production.membersuite.com@membersuite.com.

  • WEB COMMUNITY
If you have not already done so, please update your profile to make sure you have a current email address listed and that you are signed up to receive postings for the eGroups in which you are interested.  As a member of our Chapter, you will automatically be signed up for the eGroups Delaware Chapter and the DE-MD-DC Division.  Don't forget to go in and select how you want to receive emails and make sure to scroll down and click on SAVE to save your settings.  Real time or once a day are suggested for at least the DE-MD-DC Division and Delaware/Wilmington, DE eGroups so that you will be informed of any Division or Chapter news.  Please see the tutorial
for more detailed information.  If you need help with any of this, please contact Delores Bridgett.

  • MEMBER OF EXCELLENCE (MoE)
Several chapter members have already completed their online information and received confirmation from IAAP-HQ that they are now Members of Excellence.  This is an exciting opportunity and an accomplishment to be proud of - for you and for the chapter. Many more chapter members have most likely completed the required criteria to attain the MoE status but just have not taken the time to complete the online form.  Please take a moment to take care of this critical business.  Complete the Member of Excellence Form located on the IAAP web community.  Deadline for online submissions is 11:59 pm Central Time on June 30, 2014.  Please make sure that you keep a copy of what you submitted and all your back-up information for at least one year in case an audit of your documentation is requested by Headquarters.

This is an accomplishment that you can share with your employer as well - you will be glad you did.  If you have any questions regarding the MoE program, please contact our Membership Chairperson, Pat Wilkes.

Become an Association Influencer

We’re looking for a few good men and women to be the 2014-2015 IAAP Association Influencers. Starting this year at EFAM and going forward, we are introducing a new role for IAAP members. This group of around 300 to 400 people will be IAAP’s new Association Influencers. They will be IAAP “first responders” to help the board keep their finger on the pulse of the association and to help headquarters staff with data and information.

Town Hall Webinar Materials

The webinar recording and link to the slide deck are now available in the IAAP Library, under Strategic Plan 2013-2018, Restructuring & Revitalization.

CAP Exam - Computer-Based Testing

One of the initiatives of our Strategic Plan 2013-2018 is to move our CAP certification exam and OM specialty exam from paper and pencil testing to computer-based testing.

We are excited to announce that we currently plan to move to computer-based testing in 2015. We can’t share a lot of specifics yet; however, we can say that computer-based testing will be done through a company with secure testing centers and a consistent delivery system, with testing locations throughout North America.

In order to make this a smooth transition, we will not be providing testing for CAP certification or the OM specialty in November 2014. As such, the only test date in 2014 will be the upcoming May exams...
